Welcome to DUTCH. By using the DUTCH mobile application and related services ("Services"), you agree to these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.

1. About DUTCH

DUTCH is a social dining platform — not a dating app. We connect people for platonic, shared meals at restaurants. Our goal is low-stakes, real-world connection without romantic or dating expectations. Each person pays their own share. Always transparent. Always fair.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use DUTCH. By using the app, you represent that you meet this requirement.
DUTCH is not intended for minors. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate the account.
You must have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and use the Services.

3. Account and Conduct

You agree to:

Provide accurate, current information when creating and maintaining your account
Keep your account credentials secure
Use the Services only for their intended purpose: arranging platonic shared meals
Treat other users and restaurant staff with respect
Not use DUTCH for dating, romantic solicitation, harassment, or any unlawful purpose
Not impersonate others or misrepresent your identity

4. Acceptable Use

DUTCH is for platonic social dining only. You may not:

Use the app as a dating or hookup platform
Harass, abuse, or threaten other users
Post false, misleading, or inappropriate content
Share personal information of others without consent
Violate any applicable laws or third-party rights

5. Payments and Splitting the Bill

DUTCH facilitates shared meals where each person pays their own share. You are responsible for your portion of any meal costs. Payment terms with restaurants may vary. DUTCH does not process payments for meals unless otherwise specified in the app.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of DUTCH (including logos, design, and software) are owned by us or our licensors. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our materials without permission.

7. Disclaimers

DUTCH provides a platform to connect users for meals. We do not endorse, guarantee, or control the conduct of users or restaurants. You meet other users at your own risk. We recommend meeting in public restaurant settings and following common-sense safety practices.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DUTCH and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Services.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or for any other reason. You may delete your account at any time via Settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Services ceases immediately.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DUTCH operates. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.

12. Child Safety

DUTCH is committed to the safety of all users. We do not allow users under 18. If you have concerns about minors using this app or any safety issue, please contact childsafety@dutch.com.
